A Couple of Local Favorites Are Engaged
Joe Manganiello and Caitlin O’Connor confirmed their engagement Friday.

It’s a match made in Hollywood — but born in Western Pennsylvania.
Pittsburgh-born actor Joe Manganiello has publicly confirmed his engagement to Uniontown-born actress Caitlin O’Connor. In an Instagram post shared Friday, Manganiello and O’Connor posed with a diamond ring prominently displayed — right next to their chihuahua, Bubbles, an Instagram star in her own right.

The caption on the post reads “June 24th, 2025,” an apparent reference to the date that Manganiello proposed.
The couple met in 2023 at an afterparty celebrating the release of the HBO series “Winning Time,” in which O’Connor appears.
Manganiello, who grew up in Mt. Lebanon, and O’Connor return to the region frequently, including a recent stop at the gala celebrating the new Pittsburgh International Airport terminal — and, earlier this year, when O’Connor was honored as a member of the Uniontown High School Hall of Fame.
