If you’re not a fan of a six-hour drive — and the toll fees — on the Pennsylvania Turnpike to get to Philadelphia, there will soon be a new option.

No-frills Frontier Airlines announced Thursday that it will begin offering nonstop service from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham beginning in May of next year. Service to Philadelphia and Dallas-Fort Worth will begin on May 16. Flights to Atlanta and Raleigh-Durham will begin on May 17.

“Frontier’s investment in the Pittsburgh region, which will more than double its service in our market, will enhance the connections between the western and eastern parts of the state and make Philadelphia much more accessible,” said says Christina Cassotis, CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority, which operates the airport. Frontier is offering introductory fares as low as $19 one-way to the four cities.

Frontier also offers nonstop service from PIT to Denver and Orlando, Florida.
