About 32 different kinds of treats — including pizzelles, pumpkin cups, coconut macaroons and peach amaretto cookies — adorned Kristina and Ryan’s cookie table. All cookies were made by family and friends, and hardly any of the more than 1,000 cookies remained after the celebration. Kristina says the table complemented her glitter fall theme. “It made me feel really grateful because so many people put so much time and effort into making my cookies,” she says.

More than 20 varieties of cookies were available for guests at Ashley and Michael’s wedding, including thumbprints, pizzelles, mini cherry cheesecakes, Texas sheet cake cookies, raspberry shortbread cookies and more. “I would say that everyone had their own favorite cookie of the evening,” Ashley says. Cake balls and truffles from Spinola’s Bake Shop in Murrysville made for a twist on the classics.

Handmade cookies from Kellie’s large Italian family were a hit at her and Donald’s wedding. Chocolate chip, peanut butter and sugar cookies, as well lemon bars and Devil Dogs — a specialty of Kellie’s cousin’s which boasts homemade cream filling between two chocolate cake discs — all were on the table that night, among many others. “It’s amazing to see how many friends and family come together to create all these cookies,” Kellie says. “It really is one of the best traditions around.”
And the winner is…

Rachael and Tim’s cookie table truly was made with love. It featured everything from macaroons to mini cupcakes with a towering Ferris Wheel display — built by Rachael’s father — acting as the showstopper at their carnival-themed wedding. Tiered trays, created by Rachael’s mother or found at antique stores, boasted even more sweet treats.
