As we enter the breezy, warm summer weather, a light, versatile dress is something we simply cannot do without. This Riverboat Dress [$188] from Pittsburgh fashion line Kelly Lane perfectly fits the bill.

Pair it with some brown strappy sandals and your favorite tote for a casual-yet-classy everyday outfit, or dress it up with nude heels and a sparkly neutral clutch for a more formal evening look.

The dress — made from organic cotton and spandex — comes in River Blue, Navy and Tumbled Terra color (pictured).

Founded in 2006, Kelly Lane creates organic clothing for women, men and children, all handmade in Pittsburgh. The line features clean, custom patterns, versatile day-to-night pieces and cohesive color palettes.

If you’re looking for even more Kelly Lane items, the line will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and new commemorative collection Rivers and Bridges, of which the Riverboat Dress is a part, this Saturday in Lawrenceville.

In collaboration with the “Mother’s Day Weekend in Lawrenceville” event, Kelly Lane will be hosting an open studio and sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday May 7 at Ice House Studios (100 43rd St., Suite 108). Attendees can shop for pieces from the new collection while enjoying snacks from La Gourmandine. Is there a better way to spend a Saturday?
