Political yard signs are a staple of every election season, but with the election behind us, you may be looking to clear your yard in favor of more cheerful decorations.

The City of Pittsburgh offers recycling of corrugated plastic signs — those thicker signs made with grooves in between the hard plastic sides — and their metal stands at the Strip District Drop-Off Center, located at 3001 Railroad St. Here’s that location on a map.

Collection hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You have until Dec. 6 to recycle your sign at this location.

The City says to not drop off signs at other city drop-off centers besides the Strip District location.

For political yard signs made of a more lightweight plastic material, known as plastic bag signs, the dropoff is at your local grocery store. The metal stands should still be brought to the Strip District Drop-Off Center.
