2024 40 Under 40 Honoree: Sally Stadelman (33)

"I have always really enjoyed serving constituents, serving the community through helping people navigate local government. I have seen the difference that it makes when someone is able to, when we work together to remove barriers."

Sally Stadelman
Manager, Pittsburgh Land Bank

Thus far in her career, Sally Stadelman has served the City of Pittsburgh in many roles, and she has developed a reputation for cutting through red tape and going the extra mile to serve residents. It’s no different today while working for the Pittsburgh Land Bank, which, she says, “has special tools to allow more efficient, responsible repurposing of abandoned property.”

Stadelman notes the land bank is there to create a blight remediation program, to keep houses off of the demolition list and to repurpose vacant lots. She works closely with community development corporations to feed the affordable housing pipeline and urges others not to give up on local government, as there is “so much we can achieve when people engage.”

Stadelman also is zealous about her part of the city, having served on the Perry Hilltop and Fineview Citizens’ Councils since 2018.
