Megan Harris says Pittsburgh instantly felt like home when she moved here in 2013, and she is passionate about sharing her love for the city with her listeners of City Cast Pittsburgh.

“We try to help people feel more included and excited about the city they live in,” she says.

She works with many media organizations, including recent work with the Pittsburgh Black Media Federation on their summer program for high school students, teaching them to write news stories and produce podcasts.

She also worked with the Women’s Press Club of Pittsburgh in collaboration with the Heinz History Center to showcase women in journalism by creating an interactive exhibit featuring a “go-bag” with items that are essential for a traveling reporter.
