A Tradition of Giving: Give Big Pittsburgh Is Back
Start off the holiday season with a donation to your favorite local nonprofit.
Give Big Pittsburgh returns on Tuesday, Dec. 3, offering Pittsburghers a chance to kick off the season of giving with a donation to their favorite local nonprofits.
The event falls on Giving Tuesday, a national response to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday spending sprees. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 to encourage acts of generosity.
In line with the goals of Giving Tuesday, Give Big Pittsburgh provides a simple way to connect donors to the charitable causes they care about most.
Since 2017, Pittsburgh Magazine has partnered with GiveGab, an online giving platform that helps nonprofits raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.
“This is our chance to show again how generous Pittsburghers are,” says Pittsburgh Magazine Publisher and Vice President Betsy Benson. “Raising funds for local nonprofits is as challenging as ever. We’re confident Pittsburgh will step up again to help them help others.”
Donations open Dec. 3, and the portal will remain active until Dec. 31 for year-end giving.
