CEREMONY

The University of Pittsburgh’s Heinz Memorial Chapel (Fifth and Bellefield avenues, Oakland; 412/624-4157, heinzchapel.pitt.edu) was the site for Kameron and Sean’s Catholic ceremony. The Rev. Gerald McGlone, a Jesuit priest and former professor of Kameron’s, married the couple.

FLOWERS

Kameron was going for an autumnal conservatory look, so she worked closely with Northside Floral Shoppe (2014 Smallman St., Strip District; 800/666-4375, northsidefloral.com) to create alternating high and low centerpieces for the reception. Orchids were tied to every chair with an ivory sash.

WEDDING COORDINATION

Kameron and Sean live in Philadelphia, where he practices law and she is a wedding planner herself. Understanding the value of a local person with connections to manage details, Kameron hired Katherine Shaw of Trends to Traditions (412/267-2108, trendstotraditions.com).

ON THE BRIDE

Kameron wore an Amy Michelson silk charmeuse gown with silk flowers adorning the back. It was purchased at Anne Gregory for the Bride (695 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon; 412/531-3160, annegregorybrides.com).

ON THE GROOM

Sean purchased his elegant tux, with black bow tie and cummerbund, at Brooks Brothers (600 Smithfield St., downtown; 412/471-2300, brooksbrothers.com). He also wore a tuxedo shirt that matched the slightly off-white color of his bride’s gown.

RECEPTION

The Pennsylvanian (1100 Liberty Ave., downtown; 412/391-6730, thepennsylvanian.com) was the site for the reception. The couple loved the opportunity it provided to add their own touches to the stunning space. The cocktail hour began outside with a seafood bar, then the 160 guests came inside to enjoy beef filet, stuffed chicken and a Mediterranean tasting platter. Rania’s Catering (100 Central Square, Mount Lebanon; 412/531-2222, Rania.com) brought the food and all equipment to prepare it on-site.

CAKE

The Nut Cracker Sweet Shoppe (508 Kerrwood Road, O’Hara; 412/963-7951) created the cake, and one of the bridesmaids’ mothers, Donna Daltry, spent a year making delicate gum-paste fall flowers to decorate it.

MUSIC

The highlight of the reception was a performance by No Bad Ju Ju (412/343-7700, ext. 223, nobadjuju.com). The eight-piece R&B/soul/funk band was an untraditional choice that made the wedding feel more like a night on the town, and inspired the guests to get up and dance.
