30 Amazing Photos of the Warhol Bridge Yarn Bombing
Meet the Pittsburghers who turned the Seventh Street Bridge into an epic art installation.

The world was awestruck on Monday as photos of the largest yarn bombing in history spread on Twitter and Instagram. The Andy Warhol Bridge was covered in more than 3,000 feet of colorful, hand-knit blankets in honor of the late pop artist’s 85th birthday.
What most people didn’t see was the hard work of hundreds of Pittsburghers that made the public art installation possible. Below are 30 incredible photos of the construction by photographer Deborah Hosking.

#Death: Romero meets ‘Romero’ at Phipps
Night of the Living Dead director George Romero made a surprise visit to Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens this morning to check out the rare flower that bears his name. “Romero” is a Titan Arum, better known as the corpse flower, so named because it smells like rotting flesh during its 48-hour blooming period.
No one knows when Romero will bloom, but Phipps’ best guess is late August. If anyone could predict when the elusive bloom will happen, our money's on … um … Romero.
