2025 40 Under 40 Honoree: Zeke Rediker (38)
"Fundamentally, I see it as part of my mission to help Pittsburgh become a city that offers meaningful opportunities for all people — but especially for kids and families."
Zeke Rediker
Senior Counsel, PNC Bank
After college and law school, Zeke Rediker took a job with the Reed Smith law firm. He moved on to work in Mayor Ed Gainey’s administration before joining PNC.
Rediker, who grew up in Squirrel Hill, points to his start at the former East Hills International Studies Academy. “It was a formative experience for me because it was a public magnet school where kids came from all over the city to learn and play and grow up,” he says.
Since 2017, he has worked with community leaders and the Homewood Children’s Village to organize an annual back-to-school cookout to donate supplies to families in the neighborhood.
He worked to level the playing field throughout his career, founding Reed Smith’s Criminal Justice Reform Pro Bono Program and helping to found the city’s Office of Equal Protection during Mayor Ed Gainey’s tenure, which, among other things, implemented the city’s paid sick leave law and led the city’s first Americans with Disabilities Act transition plan since 1993.
