In her new role as the associate principal at Montour High School, Carrie Woodard will bring her background in school counseling and put it to work making school a comforting and welcoming space for all students.

“I think it’s important to be the person that you didn’t have growing up,” she says.

A self-proclaimed lifelong learner, Woodard is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the American School Counselor Association and the National Association for College Admission Counseling. She hopes to ensure that the students who pass through her doors feel supported and that their school is a place where they can learn, thrive and get prepared for their post-secondary goals.

“I want to make sure they feel they had everything they needed in order to be successful when they’re done with their high-school journey,” she says.
