Master Sgt. Cameron Culliver Sr. retired in July from the Air Force after nearly 14 years of service, including a deployment to Afghanistan. He won Airman of the Year honors multiple times and was recognized with numerous medals and official decorations for his service.
He’s also the first designated recruiter in this region for the U.S. Space Force. Since his retirement, Culliver has spent his time focusing on his two children and diving into programs in the area.
He serves as the first African American president of the Sto-Rox School Board, leads the Sto-Rox Little Vikings Youth Sports Association and is founder of Cameron’s Closet to mentor youth. In November he made an unsuccessful bid as a write-in candidate for mayor of McKees Rocks.
“I always say my goal is to make a difference, and I know that may sound cliche, but it’s my true goal,” he says.
