CEO of RedTree Web Design

Meesha Gerhart has taken her role of helping local businesses grow with better-designed websites to reaching out to provide support to women entrepreneurs throughout the Pittsburgh area.

Over the last nine years, she’s built RedTree Web Design from two people to a nine-person business, while focusing on team-building, collaboration and flexibility. Two years ago she started “W.E. Talk,” a bi-weekly podcast in which she discusses business successes and challenges with local women entrepreneurs as a way of also connecting them with those who want to start their own ventures.

Many of the women interviewed say they created their own businesses to obtain better work-life balance and respect in the workplace. Gerhart, who also is an adviser for the Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University, says she couldn’t have accomplished what she has without similar support. “I’m a result of my community lifting me up and continually helping me grow.”
