Each year, Pittsburgh Magazine combs the region in search of cutting-edge, high-end construction projects that represent the “ultimate” in residential living at that moment in time. In past years, the magazine honored homes in Lawrenceville, Downtown Pittsburgh, Bloomfield, the Strip District, Cranberry and Pine Township with this designation.
The best Pittsburgh brands and businesses associated with the project are aggressively promoted across a multitude of channels in the months leading up to the “opening” of the Ultimate House. Once the home is completed, it is beautifully staged and opened to the public for two weeks of tours, with all ticket proceeds benefiting the Free Care Fund. Pittsburgh Magazine’s Ultimate Houses has raised more than $370,000 for Children’s since its inception in 2015.
For the grand finale of the Ultimate House project, Pittsburgh Magazine publishes a print/digital special section featuring a room-by-room photo essay that serves as a sponsor resource guide for readers.
