Mt. Lebanon to be Focal Point of Pittsburgh Art World

Art may be the star of the sixth-annual Mt. Lebanon Artists’ Market, but the supporting cast makes it a worthy visit.

There will be no shortage of art, demonstrations, music and food at the sixth annual Mt. Lebanon Artists’ Market, set for the weekend of Sept. 21-22 in the academy lot behind the Saloon and the Uptown PNC Bank.

All weekend, more than 70 artists — 20 of them new to the market this year — will sell their fabrics, paintings, photography, jewelry, glass and wood pieces during a juried art sale.

“The competition among the artists to earn a place at this festival ensures the quality is top-notch, on par with the most prestigious arts festivals in the region,” says organizer Steve Denenberg in a press release. “But the best part is that it’s fun. The crowd is vibrant and the food and music are exceptional.”

On Saturday evening, head to the free pARTy for a concert and beer by Hitchhiker Brewing.

On-site food trucks include BRGR, Mac & Gold Truck, Arancini House, Curly’s Tin Rizzi Ice Cream, Totopo Mexican Kitchen & Bar and Revival Chili, and there will also be music by Hewlett-Anderson and demonstrations, including Tom Savini’s Special Make-Up Effects Program.
