House of the Week: Manor House and Castle in Pine Township

This Collinwood Mansion-inspired manor house and castle in Pine Township have seen many celebrity guests walk through them.

724 Bristlecone Drive, Gibsonia, PA 15044

This home, inspired by Gothic renaissance manor homes and the Tudor castles, among other influences, was built to mimic the Collinwood Mansion in the movie “Dark Shadows.”

The manor house and its castle are connected by a finished underground passageway and an upper level finished bridge. The 23,247 square foot home includes a 975 square foot apartment and 46 other rooms.

The additional rooms include 12 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, three kitchens and a two-story great dining hall, among others.

The property also offers several home office spaces, a recording studio and a two-story chapel replicating the Heinz Chapel the owners were married in.

Within the gated perimeter there’s a backyard poolside area, a custom Lilliput children’s playhouse and a custom Cedarworks playset.

The Manor features over 370 windows, a home theater and a private study replication of Wayne Manor from the 1966 television series “Batman.”
