Ready to Run™ Pennsylvania provides non-partisan political training to encourage women to run for government leadership positions. The day-long program targets women considering or recently deciding to run for political office, providing training and mentoring by campaign professionals, political women, and officeholders.
Ready to Run™ Pennsylvania is part of the Ready to Run™ National Training Network of the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) at Rutgers University (NJ).

Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning are empowering businesses, solving tough challenges, and have the potential to make life easier and more productive for us all.
C-level executives in a variety of industries are using these technologies to make better business decisions and to serve their customers better and more efficiently. However, navigating through the hype and the magnitude of data may be a challenge.
Now in its 5th iteration, Beyond Big Data: AI/ML Summit is a unique opportunity for managers on every level to learn more about the opportunities of these technologies while connecting with others in the industry. With a focus on trends and best practices, the event aims to explore strategies, best practices and technologies surrounding data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning while keeping in mind the implications of regulations, privacy, data protection, and ethics that govern this field.
The one-day event will feature keynote speakers and several panel discussions. This program is designed to enrich, enlighten and entertain.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School is hosting an audition on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Studios in the Strip District as part of their National Audition Tour. Registration runs from 12-12:30 p.m. with the first audition for students age 12-15 starting promptly at 12:30 p.m. The audition for students age 16+ will start at 2 p.m. Students will be considered for three exceptional programs: Intensive Summer Program, “Company Experience” Workshop (Ages 16+), and the Pre-Professional Program. Approximately 275 students attend these programs each year.
Dancers may Pre-register for the audition online. Pre-registration costs $30 and will close the Monday before the upcoming weekend’s audition. If you are not able to Pre-register by this time you may register on-site the day of the audition for $40.

Implicit or “hidden bias” refers to the stereotypes that impact our actions, reactions, and decisions – all in an unconscious manner. It impacts everyone in almost every aspect of our lives. It encompasses favorable and unfavorable judgments of others and issues; it surrounds us, and even the most fair-minded are not immune.
This seminar addresses the social science around implicit bias, identifying what it is and providing examples of how it affects our everyday lives on a personal and professional basis. It will also help you understand the circumstances under which you are more likely to be predisposed to implicit bias in your decision making as well as ways to combat such tendencies.

Mayor William Peduto and The Downtown Community Development Corporation will host Pittsburgh’s first ever Pittsburgh Fashion Summit on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Union Trust Building. With an aim to put Pittsburgh on the fashion map, the Summit will include panel discussions, keynote speakers, workshops and networking events. These educational experiences will focus on taking ideas to fruition for designers, operating brick and mortar stores, online shops, and a special workshop for makers.
