You find yourself surrounded by clocks — some ticking (loudly), some locked in place. As you start to pick up the fine details among the visual noise in the uncanny space, subtle puzzles present themselves. Find all of the secrets and work out all of the solutions and you’ll discover a passage ... that leads into an even larger room filled with even tougher riddles.
“The Inventor’s Paradox” is the second escape-room game at Enter the Imaginarium, a co-creation of Bricolage Production Company and the ScareHouse. Premiering in mid-October, it shares thematic ties with the original game, “Chamber of Illusions,” which debuted one month prior; Bricolage reports that “Paradox” is the tougher of the two puzzles, with only about one of every four groups making it out in the hour allotted.
Don’t focus on victory, though (because you probably won’t prevail anyway); focus on the beautiful, immersive stagecraft that sets Enter the Imaginarium apart from similar escape rooms. Need a hint? Look carefully. You don’t want to lose precious minutes because you missed an object hiding in plain sight. (entertheimaginariumpgh.com)
