The Nation's Best High Schools: How Does Your School Rank?

Ten high schools in southwestern Pennsylvania made it into the top 1,000 nationwide, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Using data including college readiness, reading and math proficiency, school enrollment, student diversity, graduation rates, curriculum and participation in free and reduced-meal programs, U.S. News and World Report ranked the nation's high schools. Ten southwestern Pennsylvania high schools finished in the top 1,000.

The findings not only provide bragging rights for the individual districts, but also impact real estate values and overall health of the community.

Of the 688 high schools in Pennsylvania, here are the schools in our area that ranked among the state's top 350. The school's national ranking is also noted.
