Munhall's Gabby Barrett Makes it to ‘American Idol’ Top 14

Barrett advanced to the next round Monday night during the show's all-star celebrity duet themed performances.

When “American Idol” resumes in a couple of weeks, 18-year-old Munhall resident Gabby Barrett will be one of the 14 remaining contestants.

Barrett advanced to the next round Monday night during the show's all-star celebrity duet themed performances. Barrett and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles performed the tearful ballad, “Stay,” which earned rave reviews from the judges.

"I don't know if we have seen someone today nail it from top to bottom," judge Luke Bryan said.

"Way to show up Gabby," judge Katy Perry said. "Way to show up. You've come so far and you have so far to go. And we all do. I can tell you are not getting comfortable and that is the key to success."

Barrett's next “American Idol” appearance is scheduled for April 22.
