DIY Enthusiasts Invited to Woodworking Tool Sharpening Workshop
The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation will help you sharpen your woodworking tools as you sharpen your mind with this Landmarks Preservation Resource Center workshop.
When it comes to being a DIY-enthusiast, you are only as good as the tools that you use. This weekend, the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation is offering a workshop that will teach you how to sharpen your woodworking tools.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Landmarks Preservation Resource Center in Wilkinsburg, craftsman Regis Will will lead the Sharpening Woodworking Edge Tools workshop. Attendees will learn the foundational skill of sharpening woodworking tools with a focus on chisels and plane blades.
Will is the owner of Vesta Home Services, a Pittsburgh-based consulting firm on house restoration and DIY projects. You can read about his DIY work on his blog, The New Yinzer Workshop.
This workshop is free to Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation members and $5 for non-members. RSVP to Mary Lu Denny at firstname.lastname@example.org or 412/471-5808 ext. 537.
