This isn’t your grandmother’s chair, but it may be just as comfortable.
The Henry Rocker ($1,580 as shown; prices vary with wood species and weaving selection) by local woodworker Grant Burger is a modern take on the traditional post and rung rocking chair.
The handcrafted piece features a sculpted crest rail, armrests and rockers in ebonized tulip poplar, while the backrest and seat are woven with comfortable cotton canvas webbing. Each rocker is made to order and can be designed with a variety of woods and webbing colors.
