Writer Ann Curran will make an appearance at the Carnegie Library's Sunday Poetry Reading Series on April 15.
She'll read from her manuscript, Me First, based, among other things, on interviews she conducted for The Pittsburgh Press, Pittsburgh Catholic, Carnegie Mellon Magazine and Pittsburgh Magazine throughout the years. Some of the titles she'll read include: "Me and Franco Harris and Lynn Swann," "Me and Gladys Schmitt," "Me and Paul Mellon," "Me and Nancy Marchand," "Me and Holly Hunter," "Me and Andy Warhol," "Me and Paul Warhola," "Me and Jonathan Borofsky," and "Me and Bill Strickland."
Ann Curran's poetry has appeared in Rosebud Magazine, U.S. 1 Worksheets, Off the Coast, Ireland of the Welcomes, Notre Dame Magazine, Commonweal and other publications as well as several anthologies. She holds degrees from Duquesne University and has taught there and at the Community College of Allegheny County. She is a member of the Squirrel Hill Poetry Workshop.
