Provides free on loan recorded books and magazines, equipment to play the recordings, large print books and described videos; offers reader advisory services, answers reference questions about disabilities and related topics; maintains a collection of print and video materials on blindness, visual impairment and physical disabilities. Western Pennsylvania residents of any age who are unable to read standard print materials because of a visual disability, physical disability or physically-based reading disability may be eligible to receive services. Materials are mailed to the borrower's home in postage-free containers.
