When Monday Night Football was still on ABC, the most entertaining part of the evening often occurred before the players took the field.



Back in its heyday, Monday Night Football delivered consistently healthy ratings to ABC and millions of dollars to the National Football League. But sometimes, the most entertaining part of the evening often occurred before kickoff, when a variety of entertainers appeared in award-winning skits to begin the broadcast.

This one, which includes a Steelers mention and stars the late Leslie Nielsen, is one of our favorites. Here's hoping Pittsburgh turns the lights back off in Cincinnati Monday night.
