Pitt's James Conner Gets Welcome Surprise on ‘Ellen’

Conner, considered one of the best collegiate running backs in the game, has been battling Hodgkin lymphoma for the past five months.

The way University of Pittsburgh running back James Conner has handled his cancer diagnosis has been nothing short of inspirational. 

Conner was in Los Angeles Monday to tape an interview for the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.” As is often the case with some of her guests, DeGeneres had a surprise for Conner. The Pitt star finally met the one person he said had inspired him the most.
