Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer Opens This Weekend
Furnishings, housewares, lighting and fashions from local vendors blend with music, cocktails and food as the fair returns to Lawrenceville.
Billed as a day of kitsch, conversation and collectibles, the popular Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer returns this weekend to the Teamsters Hall Local 249 in Lawrenceville.
Now in its 10th season, the fair features dozens of Pittsburgh area vendors peddling vintage furnishings, housewares, clothing and accessories, books, posters, glassware, vinyl, lighting and pretty much any other item under the sun.
Adding to the fun are local deejays spinning tunes, plus cocktails and a roundup of food trucks. There also will be lectures and special event collaborations.
A Night Owl pre-party takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. Participants will have early access to all vintage sellers, plus they’ll receive gift bags and a pass for Saturday’s main event.
The pre-party also features drinks from Lawrenceville haunts Allegheny Wine Mixer and Espresso a Mano, plus pizza from A’Pizza Badamo. DJ MB will provide the music while Pittsburgh drag queen Alora Chateaux and her “queen team” greet guests.
Night Owl tickets are $15. To order them, visit here.
The mixer itself takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. Tickets are $5 and kids younger than 12 enter free. All tickets are available at the door.
Some of this year’s vendors include Highway Robbery, Junk and Disorderly, Who New? Retro Mod Décor and Hey Betty.
A portion of this year’s proceeds will be donated to the Center for Victims, a nonprofit providing victims of crime support services and education.
