Attention South Hills shoppers, two off-price favorites are combining to create one powerhouse in Bridgeville.
The grand opening for a new T.J. Maxx and HomeGoods combo store takes place from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Great Southern Shopping Center.
With a remodel complete, the HomeGoods store joins the existing T.J. Maxx, which offers discounted brand name fashions, accessories, beauty products and luggage. The new combo store features a common entrance with two distinct environments on either side of the store.
While this is the fifth HomeGoods store, which specializes in home decor, to open in the area, the hybrid is a first for the Pittsburgh metro.
Lisa Zahn, public relations manager for HomeGoods Marketing, told the Pittsburgh Business Times that HomeGoods stores have been paired with T.J. Maxx and Marshalls in other locations around the country for at least six years. All three brands are owned by T.J. Maxx Cos. Inc.
The remodel in Bridgeville is the only one planned for the region at this time, she told the Business Times.
