Rusty Gold: ‘American Pickers’ Filming in Pennsylvania

The hosts of the popular History Channel series will be traveling across the commonwealth next month on the hunt for hidden treasures.

If you’re thinking about throwing away the stack of your grandma’s old collectibles gathering dust in the basement, don’t — at least not before checking with Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz first.

The hosts of the popular History Channel television series “American Pickers” will be traveling across Pennsylvania in September looking for local collections to pick through.

The show follows Wolfe, owner of Antique Archaeology, and Fritz, owner of Frank Fritz Finds, as they uncover hidden treasures — and the interesting stories behind them.

If this sounds like you, the American Pickers production team would like to know about it.

Residents with large collections of antiques may call 855/OLD-RUST or email AmericanPickers@cineflix.com to be considered for the show.

Be sure to include your name, phone number, location and a description of the collection with photos.

The hosts only pick through private collections, so that means stores, malls, flea markets, museums, auctions and other businesses are not eligible for the show.

Air dates for the episodes shooting in Pennsylvania have not been announced yet. However, this isn’t the first time American Pickers has filmed in the region.

In 2012, Wolfe and Fritz went to Ford City to search through the Martini family’s collections in the former Sokol Club building and in the basement of the family’s funeral home, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

In 2015, the hosts went to Johnstown to explore the former James C. Keyser’s Garage.
