Jewelry for All The STRONG Ladies

Designer Nicole D’Andrea aims to empower women through fashion.

The new nicole d’andrea line of jewelry not only helps the wearer accessorize, but it also helps her empower herself and other women.

Scrolling through the collections, women see names like “Ms. Confident,” “Ms. Independent” and “Girl Boss.” Designer Nicole D’Andrea wants to remind women who wear her jewelry that they are incredible and strong.

D’Andrea started her business with her brother by designing handbags in 2010. As she began to accumulate leftover materials, the Rhode Island-based designer toyed with the idea of making bracelets. Everyone she gave them to in her office loved them, so she went for it.

While traveling, she had an interaction with a homeless woman who made her realize she wanted to give back with her new line. After researching different charities, she found that the organization Live Your Dream resonated with her.

Live Your Dream provides social and economic advancement opportunities for women so that they might “live their dreams” once they’ve been given the tools to access their full potential. The nonprofit focuses on female education, personal empowerment and preventing violence against women.

One dollar from each nicole d’andrea product sold goes directly to Live Your Dream.

D’Andrea’s jewelry is plated in steel, silver or gold so it can “take a good beating.” All products are made in the United States.

D’Andrea will soon be expanding her jewelry line to include cuffs and necklaces, and she’s having a social media contest where women can submit new words to be placed on charms or the cuffs.

“I like seeing how one word really does hit one girl and has some type of meaning in her life,” D’Andrea says.
