Bitter End’s Chicken Dinner Fundraiser

Chefs Becca Hegarty and Rick Easton to cook comfort food to help Hegarty’s mother.

Digging into a beautifully roasted chicken, particularly when accompanied by delicious trimmings, is simple, comforting satisfaction of the highest order. 

To that end, Becca Hegarty of Bitter Ends Luncheonette is teaming up with Rick Easton of Bread & Salt Bakery in order to provide comfort for Hegarty’s mother, Sue, who needs around-the-clock care due to her advanced ALS.

On Sunday, Jan. 21, the duo will prepare a to-go dinner for two includes half of a roasted chicken, braised greens, mashed potatoes, stuffing and a loaf of bread. All proceeds from the dinner, which costs $50 and must be ordered in advance online (there also will be a limited number of walk-in orders available from 6-9 p.m.), will go to Sue Hegarty’s care.
